Starts and stops engines to operate equipment

Lowers anchor poles to verify depth of excavation, using winches or scanning depth gauges to determine depth of excavation
Directs or assists workers placing shore anchors and cables, laying additional pipes from dredge to shore and pumping water from pontoons

Needs knowledge of structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

Ensure best practices are used in the production process to ensure quality products are produced
Ensure best practices are used when stockpiling, whether using conventional stackers or stockpiles built with loaders, to ensure products remain within target specifications
Ensure operators of loaders are using best practices when loading customers
Ensure compliance with all noise control requirements
Maintain inventory of useable parts for efficient production
Maintain, analyze and monitor production
Ensure that all plant equipment and mobile equipment are properly maintained and efficiently used for full production potential.
Supervise the production team to ensure that daily production and quality targets are met while maintaining safety objectives and production expense targets
Effectively work with the maintenance personnel to maximize plant up-time and manage costs
Schedule, manage and monitor the daily activities of the hourly production and loading personnel
Monitor belt scales to ensure facilities are operating at full production
